At 11 years old, Bruno Kelly has been working hard to develop his game and putting in maximum hours on the training pitch to take his game to the next level.
In 2026, Bruno was selected for a Macarthur Rams Academy Scholarship, then later progressed into our Macarthur Talent Development Program (TDP). All of this alongside his local club committments with Harrington United in the Macarthur SAP (MSAP) League. Now, all of his collective hard work has been rewarded as he moves onto an exciting next chapter with selection into the MFA JDL for the 2027 season.
From a young age, Bruno has loved football. He enjoys the excitement and the adrenaline boost that every game and training session gives him. He particularly likes scoring goals and dribbling around his opponents. He has been consistently focused on his development as a young footballer, and improving his skills throughout his mutliple seasons at Harrington United.
Bruno has been playing for Harrington United in our MSAP League during the 2026 season, where he’s made lots of progress and furthermore, gained a good relationship with his coaching staff and teammates. Whilst playing for Harrington United, Bruno was identified from the MSAP Hub at Willowdale Sports Park to receive a Macarthur Rams Academy Scholarship for Term 2. Bruno was 1 of 5 players selected across his age-group and asked about how this made him feel, he described he was ecstatic that he’d received the scholarship and it meant a lot to him.
Off the pitch, Bruno stays engaged by watching his idol, Messi. Bruno explains that he inspires him to keep going and never give up, especially when he approaches a challenge or obstacle in his path. Bruno has took after his idol by demonstrating commitment in regularly attending the Rams Academy training sessions in Term 2 2026. The Rams Academy allowed Bruno to attend the Academy whilst still training for his Harrington United MSAP team.
After a few sessions, Bruno noticed an improvement in his game, whilst also gaining more love for the sport, so much he wanted to play every day. Although Bruno noticed positive change to his game, he wasn’t done yet.
Bruno was then selected into the inaugural Macarthur Talent Development Program (TDP) squad as 1 of 20 players for his U11 age-group. Earning his selection, Bruno was proud of himself and to be apart of a program that could support his desire to become a better footballer. The Macarthur TDP program helped to improve his confidence and skills by working closely with his representative-level coaches and also high-quality teammates selected from a mix of other MSAP teams.
Now, excitingly progressing through the Macarthur TDP, Bruno has been selected to play representative football for MFA JDL in the 2027 season. Bruno is excited for the opportunity to continue to improve, whilst also attending all training sessions and games to score lots of goals, dribble around his opponents and work together with other excellent players and coaches.
Bruno’s favourite football experience is making friends that share the same passion for the game as himself.
Bruno’s individual success reflects the vision that MFA has by providing clear and structured opportunities for each player that shares the same interests to progress throughout their football journey. Bruno has been able to embrace the challenges that both his Harrington United MSAP commitments, and our Macarthur TDP has brought upon him, and with his dedication, we are so pleased he has been recognised for this all of this hard work. We are sure he will continue to flourish and develop with his move into representative football for the 2027 season.
We are incredibly proud of Bruno's progress throughout 2026 and look forward to seeing him continue to thrive in the years ahead. His story serves as an inspiration to young footballers across the Macarthur region and a reminder that with belief and dedication, the possibilities are limitless.
