At just 11 years old, Leah Wilkins has already made her mark within the MFA Player Development Programs in 2026. Balancing her commitments with her local club, Gregory Hills FC, Leah has shown exceptional dedication and drive, working tirelessly to develop her skills and progress her game to the next level.
Throughout Terms 1, 2 and 3 of 2026, Leah has been involved in our MFA Player Development Programs. Starting off in our Girls Association Program (GAP) in Term 1, progressing into our Macarthur Rams Academy for Term 2, and being selected into our Macarthur Talent Development Program (TDP) for Term 3. Throughout all programs, her determination and positive attitude have stood out both on and off the pitch. Now, her hard work has paid off — Leah has earned selection into the Macarthur Rams Girls NPL pathway for 2027!
This exciting opportunity is a testament to her continued growth and commitment, and the MFA proudly celebrates her achievements as part of our player development pathway.
From giving a helping hand to her school friends, to falling in love with football. Leah is a young aspiring goalkeeper who has been playing for Gregory Hills U12 Girls MSAP Team for this year’s 2026 season. Through Leah’s participation and journey in the Girls Association Program (GAP), the Rams Academy and the Talent Development Program (TDP), she’s thrilled to go into the 2027 season as a Rams GJDL Goalkeeper.
Leah was very excited that she had joined the GAP program as she was looking to gain more skills and progress within her development as a football player. Standing out in the GAP program, she quickly progressed into the Macarthur Rams Academy. This challenged her agility and ball control, but as good of a player Leah is, she was able to turn those challenges into strengths. With standout performances in her Gregory Hills MSAP Girls U12's team, alongisde her development in the Rams Academy, she then got selected into the inaugural Macarthur Talent Development Program (TDP) for her age-group that offers her regular goalkeeper training and a variety of fun activities including games where she’s able to put on shot stopping performances and celebrate with her teammates when they score goals.
Off the field, Leah is an avid supporter of all the Australian national teams including her favourite player, Matildas goalkeeper, Mackenzie Arnold. Across the pond, Leah enjoys watching Jordan Pickford who’s a fierce keeper just like Leah. We hope to see Leah representing Australia one day and playing overseas in the Women’s Super League or join Mackenzie Arnold at Portland Thorns FC in the United States.
Leah’s hard work and commitment has now been rewarded with selection into Macarthur Rams GJDL for the 2027 season. This achievement reflects both her personal dedication and the effectiveness of the MFA’s player development framework.
