2024 AGM

AGM
The Macarthur Football Association (MFA) held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Monday, November 4th, 2024, a night dedicated to celebrating the achievements of our clubs and individuals.
The AGM began with a heartfelt acknowledgment of the outstanding performances of our clubs during the 2024 competition season. The achievements of our talented players, dedicated coaches and most importantly our volunteers were duly recognised.
The evening continued with special honours to very deserving individuals:
  • Appreciation Awards: Kim Scott and Jason Brooks from St Marys Eaglevale SC were recognised for their invaluable contributions to their club.
  • Football NSW Award Recipients: Jared Lazarus and Darcy Lound were acknowledged for their outstanding achievements at the state level. Jared was honoured for his quick thinking and decisive actions during a medical emergency, while Darcy's exceptional dedication to the Macarthur Football community was celebrated.

The AGM also marked the conclusion of a two-year term for four director positions. The association would like to thank outgoing director Ashleigh Cagney for her dedication and support during her tenure. Ashleigh has decided not to run again this year to focus on spending more time with family and her massive commitment to serving the Camden community in her reappointed role as Mayor. The election process had many quality nominations for our members, ending with the following outcomes.
  • CMC Director: Les Cox was elected to the position.
  • General Directors: Ian Kelly was re-elected, while two positions remain vacant due to insufficient votes.
In our volunteer committees,
  • CMC Committee: Dale Hodgson was elected as the sole member, with the association continuing to accept nominations to fill the remaining positions.
  • Appeals Committee: Lorna Graham, Michael Gowing, Natasha Gomes, Raph Martin, Michael Winter, and Nathan Hawthorne were elected to the committee.
To cap off the evening, the following clubs were honoured for their exceptional performances both on and off the field with the Club Championship awards.
  • Junior Club of the Year: Narellan Rangers SC
  • Female Club of the Year: Oran Park Rovers FC
  • Club of the Year (Under 500 Participants): Picton Rangers FC
  • Club of the Year: Narellan Rangers SC
