Macarthur Football Community Honoured at the 2025 MFA AGM

The Macarthur Football Association (MFA) held its Annual General Meeting on Monday, 3rd of November at Ottimo House, bringing together club representatives, board members, and life members to reflect on another successful year of football in the Macarthur region.

As part of the evening, several individuals were recognised with Appreciation Awards for their consistent and valuable service to their clubs and to football in the Macarthur region as a whole.

This year’s recipients were:

  • Craig White – Mt Annan Mustangs FC
  • Diana Zammit – Harrington United FC
  • Jamie Cantrell – Mt Annan Mustangs FC
  • Kim Cantrell – Mt Annan Mustangs FC
  • Linda Martin – Ingleburn SC
  • Matt Presswell – Mt Annan Mustangs FC
  • Micheal Winter – Ingleburn SC
  • Penny Coman – Camden Falcons FC
  • Samantha Veres – Harrington United FC
  • Shane Gray – Camden Falcons FC

Their contributions continue to strengthen the fabric of grassroots football in the region and embody the community spirit that defines our game.

Two new Life Members were elected for their dedication, support, and long-term commitment to football in Macarthur, both at club and association level.
Congratulations to Colin Campbell and Gail Hohberg on this well-deserved honour.

Jim Marsden, founder of Marsdens Law Group, was once again named as the Association’s sole Patron. A call was made for community members to suggest additional patrons who share MFA’s passion for local football.

Four Board of Directors positions were up for re-election, each serving a two-year term. The following members were re-elected:

  • Peter Kovacsics – Chair
  • Rob Milne – Financial Controller
  • Colin Campbell – Association Director
  • Rahul Lachman – Association Director

The Competition Management Committee (CMC) and Appeals Committee were also elected on the night. Both committees currently have vacancies, and the Association encourages interested members of the football community to get involved.

The evening also featured the presentation of the Annual Club Championship Awards, celebrating the achievements of our clubs both on and off the field:

  • Female Club of the Year: Oran Park Rovers FC
  • Junior Club of the Year: Eschol Park FC
  • Medium-Sized Club of the Year: Mt Annan FC
  • Club of the Year: Narellan Rangers SC

All clubs also received trophies recognising their teams that were crowned Premiers or Champions in their respective competitions during the 2024 season.

Macarthur Football Association thanks all clubs, volunteers, and officials for their ongoing dedication and commitment to the growth of football across our region.
