What is Macarthur SAP (MSAP) League?
MSAP is a unique developmental league exclusively offered by the Macarthur Football Association (MFA) for players aged U8-U12. Unlike traditional MiniRoo divisions, MSAP prioritises player development and provides a supportive environment for young athletes to learn and grow. While MSAP is non-competitive, it aims to create a platform where the best players in the age groups can play against each other. This exposure to high-quality competition can accelerate player development and prepare them for future challenges.

Purpose of the Macarthur SAP (MSAP) League
Football NSW have established ‘SAP Leagues’, which requires NPL Clubs and Associations to hold a license to participate. The establishment of a new local development League for SAP-aged players aims to provide more young players across the region with high-quality development opportunities. This ‘SAP League’ acts as the top tier of local football for such age groups.
The simple goal of the ‘Macarthur SAP League’ is to improve development opportunities for more players and coaches within the local clubs of Macarthur. As with other local Leagues, the ‘MSAP League’ will be managed and supported by the MFA. In 2026, this will also include the introduction of the ‘MSAP Development League’ which will sit as an underpinning program aimed at bridging the gap between MSAP and MiniRoos club football as well as providing competitive games against similar quality opposition.
